Man cited after dog attack in Christian Co.

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – One man has been cited following a reported dog attack that left one dog dead in Hopkinsville.
According to a uniform citation, the Hopkinsville Police Department responded Tuesday evening for a report of a dog leaving a backyard and fatally attacking another dog.
Authorities say the incident occurred on Lucky Debonair Drive. The owner of the dog was identified as 38-year-old John Sullivan of Hopkinsville.
Police say Sullivan stated he chased his dog but was unable to catch it until after the attack.
Sullivan was cited with owner permitting a vicious dog to run at large and harboring a vicious animal.
According to the citation, Sullivan stated the gate to his backyard had been locked, however, he has “had people coming in his yard, messing around on his property.”
