Man charged with trafficking fentanyl after Warren County overdose death
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man accused of dealing fentanyl pills is in custody following the death of a man in Bowling Green.
Authorities say on Monday, Feb. 27, they responded after a 33-year-old man died due to an overdose at a Jacksons Landing Apartment at 2463 Ken Bale Blvd.
Following this, the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force and Bowling Green Police Department developed a joint investigation.
According to authorities, the investigation revealed a man sold M-30 fentanyl pills to the person who died.
The same day, authorities arrested Andrew Tate Cartmill, 25, and say they seized 16 of the M-30 pills.
He faces a charge of trafficking in a controlled substance (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives), first offense. Additional charges are possible pending results of a review of the victim’s toxicology report.
Cartmill remains in the Warren County Detention Center.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, March 3 at 9 a.m.
