Man charged with stalking, harassing communications in Tompkinsville
TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A Tompkinsville man is facing multiple charges, including stalking and harassing communications.
According to a uniform citation, the Tompkinsville Police Department responded regarding a call about ongoing harassment complaints involving 50-year-old Larry Strode.
Police say they were notified Strode had repeatedly contacted an individual through phone calls and text messages despite being told several times to stop all contact with this individual.
Just after 5:20 p.m. Saturday, police say they spoke with the individual being contacted.
Police say they viewed several recent messages and calls allegedly made by Strode over the past several days.
Authorities say the individual says Strode had also hidden himself in bushes near her home multiple times in an attempt to speak with her.
Police say the individual additionally stated Strode had tried to enter her apartment without her consent multiple times.
Police say they spoke with Strode, who was placed under arrest and transported to the Barren County Detention Center.
He faces charges of menacing, second-degree stalking, harassing communications and alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense.
