Man charged with sexual abuse of a minor in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is facing multiple charges related to sexual abuse of a child in Bowling Green.
On Friday, Bowling Green police arrested John Miller, 50, who stated to police he had child pornography on his phone and gave consent to search.
Police say they located 25 videos of child pornography involving children under 12, along with roughly 16 videos involving children over 12.
According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department initially responded July 2 to a residence in Bowling Green in reference to a child sexual abuse complaint.
Police say they followed up on the case on July 11 for an interview with the victim.
The incidents related to the case allegedly occurred starting in 2022, with the most recent taking place this summer.
Miller was transported to the Warren County Detention Center and is charged with first-degree rape, victim under 12 years of age, first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor – illegal sex act, under 16 years of age, first-degree sodomy, victim under 12 years of age and first-degree sexual abuse, victim under 12 years of age, possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under 12 and possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor over 12 but under 18, first offense.
The investigation is ongoing.
