Man charged with rape, strangulation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend.
Warren County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched Wednesday to an address in the county where a woman there said her boyfriend, Jeremy Adam Clubbs, 37, tied up her hands with a rope and also put a rope around her neck and raped her Feb. 27, according to his arrest citation. She also said he struck her with whatever he could get his hands on.
She told deputies that he attempted to assault her again on Tuesday and she grabbed a shovel to defend herself, according to his citation. He left the trailer and didn’t return until Wednesday.
Deputies took him into custody. He is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree strangulation, fourth degree assault – dating violence and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail. His bond is set at $25,000.
He was arraigned Friday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday in Warren District Court.
