Man charged with fentanyl possession in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – One man is facing charges in Allen County involving fentanyl possession.

According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Sunday to an unresponsive male subject in a vehicle on the 8000 block of New Glasgow Road.

Upon arrival, deputies say they made contact with 37-year-old Edward Hartman.

Authorities say Harman told deputies he had fallen asleep.

In plain view, deputies say they saw what appeared to be marijuana in the vehicle.

During a vehicle search, authorities say they found suspected marijuana and a suspected mixture of fentanyl and other opiates.

Hartman was arrested and transported to the Allen County Detention Center. He is charged with possession of marijuana and first-degree possession of carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives.
