Man charged with DUI after injury collision in Grayson County

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – A Butler County man is facing charges after a crash near Caneyville injured one person.

According to WNKY News 40 media partner K105, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Caneyville Fire Department and EMS responded to the wreck Saturday at around 11:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Morgantown Road.

K105 reports based on evidence, a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Thomas K. Scarbeau of Butler County was traveling south on Morgantown Road when the vehicle left the roadway.

The vehicle traveled 50 yards off of the road before it hit an embankment, overturned and came to a stop in the roadway.

One female passenger was transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center.

Scarbeau was transported to an emergency room and was later arrested. He is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, felony wanton endangerment and second-degree assault.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
