Man charged with drug possession following Cave City traffic stop

CAVE CITY, Ky. – One man has been charged with drug possession following a traffic stop in Cave City.

According to the Cave City Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop Friday on a vehicle traveling northbound on North Dixie Highway for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, officers say a K-9 gave a positive alert of illegal narcotics on the vehicle.

Authorities say during a vehicle search, they located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the driver’s immediate area.

The driver, identified as 22-year-old Trevor Page, was arrested and transported to the Barren County Detention Center, where he has since been released.

Page faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure of non-owner/operator to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card and rear license no illuminated.
