Man charged with drug offenses after search in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. – One man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges in Hardin County following a search.

According to the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, agents executed a search warrant on Bardstown Road east of Elizabethtown on April 11 at 2:30 p.m.

Officials say during the search, they discovered 17 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, 54 grams of cocaine, 16 Oxycodone pills and a small amount of marijuana and steroids.

Marvin Brooks of Elizabethtown was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second offense (cocaine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (Oxycodone), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, second-degree possession of a controlled substance (anabolic steroid), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additional suspects are expected to be charged as the investigation continues.
