Man charged after reported vehicle incidents at Northridge subdivision

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after authorities say he was spotted looking into area vehicles over the weekend.
According to a uniform citation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded Saturday just after 8 p.m. for multiple reports of a subject looking into vehicles and raising door handles in the Northridge subdivision.
Deputies say there was also a reported theft from a vehicle on Melody Avenue. Officials say this included two bank cards and two gift cards.
According to authorities, residents of the neighborhood provided video of the subject and vehicle he was driving.
Through research, deputies say they located a vehicle matching the description and identified the owner as 20-year-old Anthony McAbee of Bowling Green.
When deputies saw the vehicle drive past McAbee’s residence, they say they conducted a traffic stop.
Deputies say McAbee was wearing clothing that matched that of the subject from the Northridge subdivision video.
Authorities say they learned while running McAbee’s information that he had two warrants from Illinois with full extradition.
During a probable cause search on the vehicle, authorities say they found the two gift cards that had been reported stolen.
McAbee was arrested and faces charges of receiving stolen property, giving an officer false identifying information and no operators – moped license.
