Man arrested on DUI charge after hitting fence Cave Mill Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after wrecking into a fence on Cave Mill Road on Sunday night.
According to a uniform citation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 11:47 p.m. for an injury collision at 3001 Sir Willoughby Lane.
Deputies say upon arrival, they saw a man standing near a section of broken fencing near a damaged gray Honda Civic.
The man, later identified as Victor Gonzalez, 34, said he had been driving and had “slipped,” deputies say.
Authorities say Gonzalez smelled heavily of alcoholic beverages and stated he “had three or four Modelos at his friend’s house.”
Deputies say Gonzalez also had conduct that showed he was under the influence of alcohol.
Upon a vehicle search, deputies say they did not locate a DUI interlock despite Gonzalez being permanently suspended with interlock. In addition, deputies say they found an open Modelo under the driver seat.
Following standard field sobriety tests, Gonzalez was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for medical clearance.
Gonzalez was later taken to the Warren County Regional Jail. He faces charges of operating a motor vehicle/motorcycle function without an ignition interlock device, failure to produce insurance card, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited, driving on a DUI suspended license, second offense (aggravated circumstances), second-degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense (aggravated circumstances) and fugitive with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
