Man arrested on drug trafficking charges related to overdose incident

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A man is facing drug trafficking charges following an overdose and the discovery of pills connected to several fentanyl overdoses.

On Thursday, June 9, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at a home on E. 6th St. in Russellville after an incident that involved a drug overdose.

According to the drug task force, Terry Bryant, 26, of Russellville was hiding in the home and was arrested due to outstanding warrants. The search also led to the discovery of about 100 Xanax pills, Roxy M30 pills, marijuana, a large amount of U.S. currency and drug paraphernalia, stated officials.

Officials further stated the Roxy M30 pills through other investigations have been linked to several fentanyl overdose cases.

Bryant was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (carfentanil or fentanyl), trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, first offense, drug unspecified ( greater than 10 dosage units), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bryant was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.

The case was assisted by the Russellville Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
