Man arrested on burglary charges in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man is facing multiple charges after officials say he allegedly tried to enter a woman’s home.
On Tuesday, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to Nashville Road for a report of a robbery.
Officials say a female victim said to police she was “standing at her front door when a man attempted to get into her house.” In addition, the victim said when she confronted the man, he pushed her back into her house before running to his vehicle, stated officials.
The police department further stated the victim said she picked up a wooden stick and chased after the man. During this interaction, the victim said she saw a tan handgun fall from the man’s waistband, which he retrieved before entering a blue van and leaving the scene, according to BGPD. Officials say the victim said she jumped on the hood to avoid being hit.
Detectives located the suspect’s vehicle and spoke to Alex Francisco, 18, who they say matched the suspect’s description. The victim positively identified Francisco, and he was transported to the station for review.
Officials say Francisco said his two younger siblings were present in the van during the incident. Francisco denied having a gun, as well as trying to get into the woman’s home. BGPD says they searched a residence with consent and found a handgun, which did not belong to the residence owners.
In addition, BGPD says they found additional information linking Francisco to a burglary on Sept. 19 at Smoke N’ More. BGPD further stated Francisco is seen on surveillance, and he admitted to that burglary during an interview.
Francisco was arrested and is in the Warren County Detention Center, where he faces charges of first-degree burglary (attempt), first-degree wanton endangerment (three counts), first-degree burglary and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
