Man arrested in Monday shooting
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Police arrested a man Wednesday afternoon in the Monday night shooting of David Thang.
Just before 3 p.m. Tre’Shawn Hutchins, 21, who police identified earlier this week as a suspect in the shooting, turned himself in to city police.
He is charged with one count of first-degree assault. He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail. His bond is set at $100,000.
BGPD Officer Ronnie Ward said Monday the police were called to the Thames Valley area at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
When police arrived, they found Thang shot inside of a wrecked vehicle, Ward said.
Thang was the driver of the car, that came off of Sebern Close Court and onto Thames Valley Road before crashing into an embankment.
Thang’s passenger was not injured. Thang remains hospitalized in an area trauma center.
