Man arrested following police pursuit in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is in custody following a vehicle pursuit.
On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Kentucky State Police says a traffic stop was conducted by trooper Walker Hogan on Morgantown Road in Bowling Green on a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban for traffic offenses.
Tyler Young was identified as the operator. Young failed to yield to emergency equipment, troopers say, causing a vehicle pursuit.
Young traveled onto Westmeade Drive. He then exited the vehicle and fled on foot, according to authorities.
Troopers say the suspect then threw a gun and what is believed to be methamphetamine from his possession to the ground.
After a brief foot pursuit, Young was apprehended and lodged in the Warren County Detention Center.
Young is charged with; first degree-fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), resisting arrest, first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, 2nd offense (methamphetamine), possession of a handgun by convicted felon, operating a vehicle while under the influence (aggravated), along with numerous other traffic violations.
Young was also served with an active warrant.
