Man arrested after pursuit involving motorcycle in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is facing several charges after troopers say they pursued a motorcycle in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police observed a male disregard a stop sign while operating a red Honda motorcycle on Wednesday at about 12:15 a.m.
Troopers say when they tried to conduct a traffic stop, the male continued to N Lee Drive, where he threw his backpack into the roadway.
The male continued to flee on State Street, traveling the wrong way on the one-way street and disregarding several traffic control lights, authorities say.
After about four minutes, the pursuit reached the intersection of Grandview Street and Belmont Avenue, where troopers say the male fled on foot toward Nashville Road.
The male, identified as Johnathon Woosley, 28, of Caneyville, was taken into custody.
Woosley was transported to the Warren County Detention Center.
He faces charges of speeding 26 miles per hour or greater over the speed limit, disregarding a stop sign, no motorcycle operators license, operating on a suspended or revoked operators license, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, disregarding a traffic control device – traffic light and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
