Man arrested after motorcycle pursuit reaches 105 mph in Russellville

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A man is charged with fleeing police after a high-speed chase in Russellville.
According to a uniform citation, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office observed a subject lift a red 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle into a wheelie while traveling southbound on Terry Wilcutt Highway south of Logan Aluminum on Thursday around 6:47 a.m.
The citation says a deputy activated their emergency lights and siren for a traffic stop, but the motorcycle accelerated away.
The motorcyclist was identified as Bradley O’Neal, 33, of Lewisburg.
Deputies say a pursuit ensued, and the motorcycle began to weave in and out of traffic.
The citation states authorities say they reached 105 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone to try to overtake the motorcycle.
O’Neal then turned right, nearly causing a collision on 68/80 Bypass, authorities say.
Deputies say they lost sight of the motorcycle on Highland Lick Road, which was later found in a driveway off of Markham Lane by Russellville police.
O’Neal was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Detention Center.
He is charged with speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit, first-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving and first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
