Man and woman arrested on charges related to drug trafficking
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Russellville man and woman are facing multiple charges after a drug bust.
On Tuesday, June 14 around 2:26 p.m., South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force agents and an officer responded to 581 East 6th St. after receiving a tip that people in the house were involved in selling illegal drugs.
Drug task force and Russellville probation officers made contact with Jermaine Sunbear, 41, of Russellville and Amber Evans, 37, of Russellville at this location.
The task force stated both Sunbear and Evans were on supervised probation at the time. During a search of the residence, agents located “crack” cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and items related to the sale of drugs, such as digital scales and cash, according to authorities.
Both Evans and Sunbear were arrested on multiple charges, including trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, first offense (greater than or equal to four grams of cocaine), possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and possession of marijuana.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
