Man allegedly films up woman’s skirt at department store, charged with video voyeurism

MADISONVILLE, Ky. – A Webster County man is charged with video voyeurism after allegedly filming video up a woman’s skirt in Hopkins County.

According to a release, the Madisonville Police Department responded to Marshalls on Whittington Drive to a complaint of a sex offense on Feb. 19.

The victim told police that a man filmed video up her skirt while she was shopping with her two children.

The suspect fled the store before police arrived, according to the release.

MPD says officers launched an investigation in coordination with law enforcement agencies.

Through investigation, MPD identified the suspect as 75-year-old Wayne Richardson of Sebree.

According to the release, a search warrant was obtained on Monday and Richardson was taken into custody at his home.

MPD says Richardson was interviewed and subsequently arrested.

Richardson is charged with video voyeurism and was lodged at the Hopkins County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
