Man allegedly abandons stolen vehicle on parkway, steals truck in Grayson Co.

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – A man is facing charges after leaving a stolen vehicle on the Western Kentucky Parkway before stealing a truck in Grayson County.

K105 reports the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office received information Wednesday morning around 7 a.m. about a stolen truck.

Around 9:25 a.m., the victim’s family assisted Grayson County chief deputy Sonny Poteet and sheriff Norman Chaffins to locate stolen vehicle at Smitty City at the intersection of Anneta Road and St. Anthony Road, according to K105.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Aaron Miller, of Louisville, was with the vehicle and was arrested, according to the arrest citation.

At about 9:47 a.m., authorities say they located a second stolen vehicle a 2007 Dodge Charger, near the 112-mile marker of the westbound Western Kentucky Parkway.

Authorities say the Charger had been reported stolen out of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Chaffins said Miller drove the Charger “until he ran out of gas.”

The citation states Miller admitted that he stole both vehicles.

Miller is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.He was also served with a warrant out of Jefferson County.
