Man accused of stealing cigarettes
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Russellville man is accused of breaking into a gas station and stealing more than 100 packs of cigarettes.
Russellville police received an alarm call at a gas station on West Ninth Street Tuesday night. When they arrived they found Allison Alberto Agilar, 23, holding a garbage bag with cigarettes in it, according to his arrest citation.
Police found another 20 packs inside his jogging pants, according to the citation.
Agilar was covered in blood and had a T-shirt wrapped around his arm. Police watched the video where it appears Agilar broke out a window of the store and swiped cigarettes.
He was charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned Thursday in Logan District Court.
A preliminary hearing in his case is scheduled for Thursday.
He was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center. His bond is set at $5,000.
