Man accused of sex crime involving juvenile

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Franklin police charged a man Monday with second-degree rape and second-degree sodomy involving a juvenile.

Winston Bell, 19, is accused of engaging in sex acts with a child on the back porch of an unoccupied home on Liberty Street, according to a release from Franklin Police Department.

This incident is alleged to have occurred late in the 2018/19 school year, according to the release.

He is lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center. His bond is set at $50,000.

A court hearing is set for Thursday in Simpson District Court.
