Man accused of setting parents’ house on fire while they were inside
MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – A Munfordville man is accused of dousing his parents’ mobile home in gasoline before setting it on fire while they were still inside.
Steven Glaab, 40, was booked into the Hart County Jail Tuesday night after Kentucky State Police charged him with first-degree arson and first-degree wanton endangerment, online jail records show.
When police arrived at the home belonging to Glaab’s parents, they saw that gas had been poured down the side of the mobile home, KSP Post 3 spokesman Trooper Jeremy Hodges said. After Glaab learned that one of his parents had called 911, he got out a garden hose and began to extinguish the fire.
No one was injured in the incident.
He is being held without bond pending a May 13 court appearance.
Glaab is no stranger to law enforcement. He has multiple drug-related criminal convictions on his record.
