Man accused of damaging Warren County Sheriff’s Office speed trailer with hammer

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Bowling Green man is behind bars after deputies say he intentionally damaged a speed trailer belonging to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an arrest citation, the incident occurred Monday in the 2800 block of Plum Springs Road.

Deputies said Foster Buchanan, 29, used a hammer to damage the trailer. Deputies said there is video of the incident captured by a neighbor.

When investigators caught up with Buchanan at his home, deputies said he smelled of alcohol.

Deputies said they located a marijuana pipe with residue and the butt off a marijuana cigarette in Buchanan’s garage.

Buchanan was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, operating a vehicle under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.

Warren County Sheriff’s Office has only one speed trailer, which is now unusable. The replacement is said to cost around $3000.
