Mammoth Cave’s Chief Park Ranger announces retirement

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky.- The Chief Ranger at Mammoth Cave National Park has announced she’s retiring from her position.

Lora Peppers will retire from the National Park Service on December 31. She has held the position since 2014.

Peppers spent 32 years at Mammoth Cave National Park and started working there while she was a student at Edmonson County High School.

Post-retirement, Peppers will be staying in the Mammoth Cave area.
