Mammoth Cave suspending cave tours
MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky.- Beginning Wednesday, Mammoth Cave National Park is temporarily suspending all cave tours until further notice.
The visitor center will also close down.
The closures will be in place to lessen the public health risk associated with COVID-19.
Cave tour sizes at the park average almost 100 people per tour during spring break and do not fall within the recent guideline to limit group gatherings consisting of ten or more people.
Activities within the park, such as hiking, biking and equestrian will remain open and accessible to the public.
