Mammoth Cave National Park asking for public’s help developing plan

The park is asking for comments on a proposed cave and karst management plan.
The purpose of the plan is to provide a consistent framework for managing the cave and karst resources found at Mammoth Cave National Park.
The final plan will provide direction to protect and conserve the park’s complex and sensitive resources through the use of science.
It will also address resource protection issues, particularly those related to visitation and research.
The park will hold public meetings on Tuesday, July 16 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m at the Cave City Convention Center and on Thursday, July 18 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Edmonson County Public Library in Brownsville.
The events are opportunities for the public to meet with park staff and provide comments.
