Making a Difference luncheon highlights resources for those in need

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Several popular organizations that reach beyond Warren County came together Tuesday, led by female leaders sharing resources and valuable information.

The “Make a Difference” Lunch and Learn event offered community leaders a chance to hear about support services available for those in need.

Guest speakers included Janel Doyle, a Toys for Tots coordinator, and Chesa Montgomery, the Toys for Tots Nursing Home coordinator. Both speakers highlighted upcoming initiatives and emphasized the importance of supporting people of all ages.

Montgomery also said that while children are a focus, seniors in nursing homes are also vulnerable and often overlooked. She explained that many seniors lack access to basic necessities, making community donations critical. The Toys for Tots Nursing Home initiative is a pilot program now expanding across several counties.

Organizers hope this effort will inspire others to give back and strengthen support networks for both the young and elderly. You can find more information on the Toys for Tots website and Facebook page.
