Lucas Oil Racing School races into Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- This past week, the Lucas Oil Racing School was in Bowling Green at the NCM race track for the third round of their scholarship racing series.

The racing series goes all over the country to numerous tracks in states like Florida and Indiana. Of the five stops during their $250,000 scholarship series, the National Corvette Museum race track was one of them.

This was the third stop of their five-part series, and during the week, locals who were licensed drivers were able to attend the school and get time on the track with other seasoned racers.

This racing school was an interesting way for members of the Bowling Green community to interact with each other.

Race instructor Aaron Nash said a father-son duo found out that they went to the same doctor as one of the flaggers on the track.

“So it was neat to hear them kind of chit-chat about the community and get introduced,” Nash said. They didn’t know each other, but they all had the same connection through a doctor who’s here locally.”

If anyone is interested in participating in the racing school, Lucas Oil will be back at the NCM race track next year, holding another week-long racing school.
