Louisville Orchestra secures $4.3M in state funding to continue ‘In Harmony’ tour

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville Orchestra announced Monday that it will continue its “In Harmony – The Commonwealth Tour” for another two years thanks to recent funding.

The $4.3 million from the Kentucky State Legislature will allow the tour to run through 2026.

According to release by Louisville Orchestra, the tour, which began in 2022, has hosted 18 free full orchestra performances to over 16,000 attendees.

The release states the tour highlights a remarkable journey of cultural enrichment and education across 53 unique Kentucky zip codes.

For its future tours under Teddy Abrams and resident conductor Gabriel Lefkowitz, the Louisville Orchestra will introduce in-depth residencies during touring weeks, enhancing community involvement and educational opportunities.
