Lost River Cave took Community Education students on a wild adventure

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Some kindergarten and first graders had a wild experience at Lost River Cave.

Students involved with Community Education spent some time meeting with animals including tortoises, snakes, tarantulas and even rabbits.

At the encounter, the kids had a chance to have their questions answered by the Lost River Cave naturalists, as well as interacting with the animals.

Naturalist Tosha Clark said it was a great opportunity to give the kids an experience like this at a young age.

“I know when I was this age, I was fascinated with animals, and I wanted to know more about them. I think it’s a wonderful thing for them to learn about them at a young age so that when they’re older, they have a deeper appreciation for these animals,” Clark said.
