Lost River Cave opens 10th annual Scarecrow Trail

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The 10th annual Scarecrow Trail opened up this past weekend at Lost River Cave. 75 different entries submitted their scarecrows this year. That’s the most entries they’ve ever had.

People can walk the trail to see scarecrows from schools, businesses and all types of places, all for free. This first week of October, people can vote for their favorite scarecrow in the Lost River Cave gift shop.

For the first time, a section of the Greenway Trail is wheelchair accessible.

The Scarecrow Trail was one of the most fun attractions for the community last year during the pandemic.

Director of Philanthropy Katie Cielinski said, “I’ve got to say, people really stepped it up this year. It’s an incredible trail. We’re excited to welcome all those folks that maybe walked out for the first time last year back again this year.”

The Scarecrow Trail runs through the 24th of October, so make sure to come check out the designs before they’re gone.
