Looking to the community, raising money for Kentucky Kids on the Block

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Scottsville Road today, a fundraiser for Kentucky Kids on the Block with the help of Cotton BBQ.

The nonprofit that’s famous for their puppets that they use to connect with kids over serious topics was out tabling today alongside Cotton BBQ food truck, who was selling food and giving 10% of their earnings to KOTB.

KOTB does not receive any state or federal funding, so they rely heavily on grants and donations for the community to keep doing what they do every day.

The food truck and nonprofit were out from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today to help raise money and spread awareness but that doesn’t mean you can’t help past today.

Amanda Guerra, program director for the organization, said that they are always grateful for any monies that come their way and told News 40 that people can visit http://kykob.org to help out.
