Logan County Sheriff’s Office investigating serious injury accident
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – The Logan County County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an injury accident.
The sheriff’s office responded to a call at approximately 1 am on Monday about an accident with injuries. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 68-80 East near Pool Road.
According to a release, deputies identified the motor vehicle as a 2003 Buick Rendezvous operated by Alex C. Wilson, 24 of Russellville.
The preliminary investigation shows that Wilson was operating the vehicle westbound on U.S. Highway 68-80. The vehicle exited the roadway off the left shoulder, traveled through the median across from both lanes, overturned, and collided with a rock wall. The cause of the crash is unknown.
Wilson was removed from the vehicle by Logan County EMS and Auburn Rural Fire Department.
Wilson sustained serious injuries and was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville by AirEvac.
The accident is under investigation.
