Logan County Sheriff’s Office arrests wanted Tennessee man

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A wanted Tennessee man led police on a vehicle, foot pursuit Friday evening.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy observed a vehicle related to a recent theft traveling in Russellville.

After observing multiple traffic violations, a deputy initiated a traffic stop on West 4th Street. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit began.

The pursuit continued to West 9th Street where a Russellville Police Department sergeant deployed spike strips near Russellville High School.

Deputies joined the pursuit south onto Clarksville Road. The vehicle lost a tire near Joe Montgomery Road. The vehicle went off the road and into a ditch. The vehicle’s operator fled, leading officers on a brief foot pursuit.

Deputies say they apprehended the operator of the vehicle, identified as David C. Mills of Tennessee.

During the investigation, officers say Mills possessed crack cocaine and had an outstanding felony warrant in Robertson County, TN.

Mills is lodged at the Logan County Detention Center on charges stemming from the pursuit and theft.

The arrest was led by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and assisted by the Russellville Police Department and Logan County EMS.
