Logan County Search and Rescue provides relief to hurricane victims
LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Logan County Search and Rescue Team has been working hard to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene, even four months later.
According to chief Terry Cole, this is the crew’s fifth trip to the devastated flood area in East Tennessee and western North Carolina.
Both Morristown, Tennessee and Weaverville, North Carolina saw three trailer loads of new toys, baby food, coats and other clothing, as well as building supplies, frozen turkeys and other food items.
Cole says these trips are made possible by donations made by Logan County churches, businesses and citizens.
