UPDATE: Missing Logan Co. teen found safe

LEWISBURG, Ky. – Officials say Xavier Cruz has been found safe.

LEWISBURG, Ky. – Logan County agencies are searching for a missing juvenile.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a home located at 476 Dunmor Deer Lick Road to a report of a missing juvenile at 11:37 p.m.

LCSO says the family of Xavier Cruz, 17, last saw him at 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, walking into the woods behind the home.

Family and friends reportedly searched the area but could not find him.

The family says Cruz was wearing grey joggers, a tan-colored shirt and carrying a black jacket with white letters. He is a Hispanic male and is 5 feet 9 inches with brown eyes, brown hair and weighs 130 pounds.

LCSO contacted Logan County Search and Rescue to support the search.

LCSO searched nearby properties. LCSR launched a drone to scan the area.

Both agencies are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Cruz, requesting checks of trail camera footage, and looking out for him.
