Logan County man charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment

LEWISBURG, Ky. – A Logan County man is facing multiple charges after a reported assault case.
According to a uniform citation, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday just before 1:20 p.m. for a report of a subject with a gun.
Authorities say it was reported 55-year-old Roger Nash had pointed a gun at a victim.
Upon arrival, authorities say they made contact with the victim outside, while Nash ran into the home.
Authorities say they were told Nash had two different guns and had threatened to shoot the victim and law enforcement if they responded.
Deputies say Nash then emerged from the home and ran toward a field while holding an object in his hands.
Nash failed to comply with verbal commands to stop, authorities say, leading deputies to pursue him.
Nash was then taken into custody. He was found to possess a handgun at this time, the citation states.
Authorities say upon speaking with the victim, the victim stated Nash had assaulted them multiple times over several days.
Deputies say the victim had multiple bruises on the forearm and face areas.
Authorities say the victim stated Nash would not allow them to leave the residence until the bruising had gone away.
During a residence search, authorities say they found multiple items of drug paraphernalia and two bags of suspected methamphetamine.
Nash is lodged at the Logan County Detention Center on charges of first-degree assault – domestic violence, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
