RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. –  Logan County Humane Society says they need help after taking in a substantial amount of dogs from a mill.

A social media post by the humane society stated they will need as many volunteers as they can get over the next couple of months, or possibly longer.

Also, due to the heat index, the humane society stated they’d appreciate bottles of water, Gatorade, ice and coolers for volunteers.

LCHS said the dogs are not yet adoptable, but fostering is possible in the near future.

LCHS reminded in another post that, although donations made through Facebook help, that money is only available around two months later. To donate, the humane society is asking to contribute through PayPal or Cashapp, which can be found listed on posts here.

In addition, the humane society’s Facebook page will update on needs for volunteers and transports.
