Logan County Animal Shelter introducing Doggy Day Dates

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – The Logan County Animal Shelter is starting a new program to encourage adoptions.
Doggy Day Dates will allow visitors at the shelter to pick a dog up in the morning and bring them back in the afternoon, according to Logan County Animal Shelter assistant director Ashley Miller.
While this will give the dogs a chance to get adopted, Miller says this also will give them time outside of the shelter.
The shelter asks to make an appointment 24 hours in advance from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dogs must be returned by 3 p.m.
