Locals spend a morning with law enforcement at Coffee with the Cops
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – While you were out getting your morning coffee, you may have seen Bowling Green Police, the Warren County Sheriff and the Kentucky State Police troopers at Starbucks on Campbell Lane.
No, there was not an emergency. It was just the Coffee with the Cops!
The event, organized by WKU Police, brought together the law enforcement agencies to meet and talk with residents.
The law enforcement agents agree that this kind of open communication is a great way to keep trust and transparency between the community and those who protect them.
“So the motorcycle club saw it on social media or something, so they showed up and they advocated for the police a lot,” said WKU Police Chief Mitchell Walker. “I’m glad to see them here and we got to talk to those guys. A lot of WKU students come to this Starbucks, so we get to interact and meet them as well.”
As of right now, there is no word yet on when the next Coffee with the Cops will be scheduled.
