Locals go ‘Over the Edge’ for BRACAC
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This past weekend, supporters of the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center rappelled from Stadium Park Plaza to raise money and awareness for children who have been sexually abused.
News 40’s evening anchor, Morgan Hoover went “over the edge” Saturday at the center’s annual ‘Over The Edge’ event.
The Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center serves ten counties in the region and provides services to child sexual abuse victims by offering a safe, child-friendly location where professionals work to pursue justice and offer treatment.
VIP rappels took place Friday afternoon with individual rappels taking place all day Saturday, September 11th.
Many members of the community participated in the five-story down rappel, including members of the Bowling Green Police Department.
“Just want to come out and do Over The Edge to help the child advocacy center. It’s where we see a lot of kids that are victims in the community and just want to give back to a great organization because they help partner with us during our investigations to help those kids that need our help,” said Bowling Green Police Major Ryan Burnam.
