Local Humane Society offering speed dating event with shelter animals
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-If you’re looking to meet the new love of your life, the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society is the place to be Thursday night.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, the shelter is hosting a speed dating event for the very first time involving some of the shelter’s dogs.
From 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., participants can stop by the Davis-Mosby Education Center, located adjacent to the shelter on River Street.
Once you’re there, you’ll be seated and introduced to 20-25 different adoptable dogs that will circulate table to table, looking for their new forever home.
“We know this is a huge animal loving community and we know a lot of the feedback we get is that people are working during our operating hours, said Humane Society Adoption Manager, Leah Lawrence. “We are now giving them the opportunity to come out to see the adoptable pets and we are hoping for a good turnout.
Those who are interested in taking an animal home will receive 50% off the regular adoption price.
