Local Group Helping With Hurricane Relief
Plum Springs, Ky. – People are still picking up the pieces in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, however, one local group is looking to help people get back on their feet.
Since last Thursday, Infinity Pipeline has been collecting items such as food, cleaning supplies, feminine products, hygiene products, and much more and as of 5 am this morning they are now on their way to North Carolina. Taz Trucking also donated two semi-trailers to pack full of supplies. President of Infinity Pipeline, Darron Wheat, says that helping after a natural disaster means a lot to him, especially after his business was impacted by the December 2021 tornadoes.
“It’s close to home for us. When somebody needs the dire need that these folks have, everything just completely gone. My company felt a need to go and help, and there’s been so many come through to help assist us to pull this together” said Wheat.
The Bowling Green Fire Department also lent a hand to help get everything onto the trucks. The trucks were filled with about 50 pallets of supplies, some much-needed relief to those impacted by Hurricane Helene.
