Local events taking place this holiday weekend
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you aren’t sure where to spend the day this weekend before heading to local fireworks shows, News 40 has you covered.
The following local events will be taking place this weekend, starting Friday, July 4:
Hart County
- Bonnieville July 4 Parade: The parade starts at 10 a.m., with a parade lineup starting beforehand at the north end of town.
- Hart County Fair 4-H Barbeque Contest: July 4 at 1 p.m. More information can be found by calling 270-524-2451 or by clicking here.
Logan County
- Bob and Joyce Guion Fourth of July Kiddie Parade: Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m. at West Eighth in Russellville near the SEEK Museum.
Simpson County
- Franklin-Simpson Independence Day Parade: Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m. in downtown Franklin. All retired and active duty veterans are invited to ride as grand marshals. The parade will leave from the high school and head down 31-W before circling the courthouse downtown.
Warren County
- Patriot Stories, A Veteran Songwriting Round: Sunday, July 6 at 5 p.m. at 302 State St. More here.
