BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The local community is remembering three teens killed in a deadly weekend crash.

Late Friday night, the Glasgow Police Department reported the crash occurred at the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and North Jackson Highway in Glasgow.

As a result, three young lives were lost, including those of 18-year-old Emily Corbin of Hardyville, a 17-year-old from Edmonton and a 14-year-old from Bowling Green, according to Glasgow police.

An online obituary states that Corbin, originally born in Glasgow, was a 2025 high school graduate and played on the Hart County Lady Raider’s basketball team.

The identities of the minors involved in this collision have not been released.

An outpouring of support has been shown from the community, including from Metcalfe County Schools, who stated the following:

“All of us at Metcalfe County Schools are mourning the loss of three teenagers and praying for others who were injured in a car crash overnight. While not currently enrolled in the school district, all of these youth are beloved members of our Hornet family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends during this unimaginable time of grief.”

On Monday, Glasgow police chief Guy Howie stated:

“To all the men and women who responded that night—thank you. You placed yourselves in a difficult and emotional situation to serve and protect our community. I pray that none of you ever have to face a tragedy of this magnitude again in your careers. We know that each of you holds the families and survivors of this incident in your thoughts and prayers, just as we do.”

Major Terry Flatt with the Glasgow Police Department says the preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol was a factor in the crash. The department is awaiting toxicity reports.

Flatt confirmed Monday there are no further updates at this time.
