Local charity’s workers making masks for healthcare workers and first responders

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -A local charity known for sewing and providing burial clothing for infants is providing something different during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Glory Baby Ministry is now making masks for healthcare workers and first responders to ease the need during the shortage of N-95 masks, the mask usually worn to filter the COVID-19 virus out of the air.

70 volunteers are currently cutting and sewing fabric to make the masks which will be supplied to hospitals and emergency service agencies in south-central Kentucky.

Jessica Heffinger, of Glory Baby Ministry, says the organization may not normally make masks but it’s just an extension of what they routinely do.
