Local businesses see increased customers during rainy weather

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -Finding time to do things outdoors when the weather is dry has been a bit tricky the last few days.

Golf courses and local parks may not have been the place to be when the rain is falling, but there are actually a few local businesses that see an increase in customers when the weather turns wet. A local theater tells WNKY the number of moviegoers increases on rainy days, especially with children.

It’s not just movies that people go for…restaurants also enjoy a bump in business.

“Staying at home is gloomy and lonely, so people want to come out and socialize,” Nicole Devlin, a server at Pub Novo said.
