Local berry farm preps for summer

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you are looking to add a new activity, Beechmont Blueberries may just be on your bucket list.

Beechmont Blueberries is located just off of Beech Bend Road. The family-ran patch is home to rows and rows of bushes.

Beginning in the 1960s, Beechmont Blueberries is a generational farm. Daniel Joseph Reynolds, known to most as ‘Danny Joe,’ passed the farm down to his children.

Continuing their patriarch’s legacy is something the Reynolds Family prides themselves in. Robert Reynolds, owner and manager of Beechmont Blueberries, describes his father as a “generous person.” He adds that Danny Joe “did a lot for people.”

Reynolds says the farm is “a way to give back to the community.” He is excited for others to “come out and enjoy” Beechmont’s peaceful atmosphere.

This year, the family is allowing folks to come pick straight from the bush in hopes to bring people together, too.

Oldest Reynolds daughter, Annalise Reynolds, reveals her “big family” would be making her grandfather “really happy.” She reveals that the farm has brought her siblings and cousins “even closer together.”

Beechmont Blueberries is open the whole month of June from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
