Local animal shelter in need of homes for felines
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Local animal shelters are attempting to get the word out when it comes to adoption, especially with cats.
The Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society is no exception to this. As of now, there are a high number of cats and kittens still in need of forever homes.
According to shelter staff, September is normally when intakes would taper down. This year has been different. Staff say they’re lucky to have two or three open spots for cats at any given time.
This is because the shelter is taking in a lot of pregnant nursing cats, as well as stray orphan cats.
Some ways to help include monetary donations, and donations of supplies to help foster.
